It's not chassis/module/interface. The chassis is the casing of the entire router. It goes [slot on the chassis] / [module on that slot] / [interface on that module]. You could also see just two numbers, for module/interface, or in a non-modular router/swich, you could see just a single number, which would be the interface number.
