Hard Drive Recovery When Disk Controller Fails

In a computer system, the disk controller is a critical component that allows your system to communicate with the hard drive. Modern hard drives include inbuilt disk controllers. There are sever disk controller standards available in the market, which includes SATA, PATA, ATA, IDE, SCSI and so forth. But in case if the disk controller fails, hard drive becomes inaccessible and your system does not boot up. This behavior of your computer system renders all the critical data inaccessible and require Data Recovery to be sorted out.

In a practical scenario, when you boot your system or sometimes while working on it, you might encounter below given error message and system stops responding:

1782-disk controller failure.”

When this error message occur, your system gives you an option to get into system boot or BIOS (Basic Input/Output System). If you try to boot the system, the process fails and shows you just a black screen. When you boot the system using installation CD and reinstall the operating system and then try to reboot the system, it shows some strange errors and fails to boot up.

This problem might occur due to any of the following reasons:

  • The hard drive is not connected properly. Usually, all the hard drives have at least two cables to back side. Verify that both of the cables are properly connected. Try disconnecting and then connecting the power and interface cables.

  • The hard drive cable is bad. Replace the cable with new one and then try to restart your computer.

  • The hard drive is bad. If you still face the problem after checking above things, this is possible that the drive is bad. In these cases, you need to replace the drive. It would cause data loss as the affected drive can not be accessed and thus the stored data.

  • The interface board of your computer system is bad. You need to get it replaced from Hard Drive Recovery experts for proper working of hard drive. Never try to do it on your own.

Disk Recovery Software in these critical situations is potential through the help of recovery specialties. They provide personalized and sophisticated Hard Drive Recovery service to retrieve all of the lost, missing and inaccessible data from physically damaged hard drive. How can I determine the manufacturer and model of my scsi controller?

I am running Windows XP and I am getting a windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. When I go into properties, it says manufacturer unknown.

If the SCSI controller is an add-on card, then open your computer and see if there is anything printed on the card that will give you a clue as to what make/model it is.
