Can I connect a couple of 1.5M retractable LAN cables together with RJ45 adaptors?
The 1.5M. retractable is small so I want to extend them by connecting it to RJ45 adaptors to make 7-8 meter LAN cable.
Is this a good idea?
I do not want to use the regular LAN cable because it's thick and it's difficult to wire it under the door.
To JoelKatz:
the 1.5 cable supports up to 100Mbps. but 10Mbps is enough for my satt. box. So I can build it with no problem?
It should be fine, cat 5 cables can go up to 50 meters without a power injector.
