DVI-D to VGA: Premium conversion device for translating DVI-D signals to VGA
A DVI-D to VGA Converter translates a computer’s DVI digital single link video signal to analog so that devices without DVI-D output can be connected to the former. CRT monitors, analog video systems, and television displays are connected to devices like modern video cards using this technology. Using the plug and play functionality, one connector of the standard VGA cable should be inserted into the VGA female end of the adapter. The other end is inserted into the VGA port while the DVI-D end of the adapter is connected to the DVI port. This is how the conversion works.
While the input connector is DVI-D female, the output connector is a VGA 15 pin HD male. Features of the DVI-D to VGA Converter include signal boosting capabilities and compatibility with any single link DVI-D device. This device is equipped to support multiple video resolutions such as 1900 x1200, 1600 x 1200, 1280x1024 and lower or formats known as VGA; SVGA; XGA; SXGA; UXGA without loss of data. It also supports a frequency bandwidth of 165 MHz and a DVI-D bandwidth of 1.6 GHz. For most applications, there is no requirement for an external power supply. Consumption of power is restricted to 0.54 Watts. Easy to use, this device does not require any additional software or drivers. This product is HDCP compliant and has CE, FCC and RoHS regulatory approvals. By converting signals from DVI to VGA, this converter ensures that costly video monitors and display adapters need not be replaced. By saving investment in existing infrastructure, it is becoming one of the preferred methods of connecting to LCDs and other displays today.
