Community Involvement
Contributing to the community is a key tenet of the Santorini philosophy and core to our values. As technology in the 21st century has allowed the definition of “community” to expand well beyond the boundaries of any one town or city, Santorini Consulting embraces and supports non-profit organizations that provide humanitarian services around the globe.
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is one of the world’s premier pediatric cancer research centers. Its mission is to find cures for children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. St. Jude Hospital is the only pediatric research center where patients never pay for treatment which isn't covered by insurance. The research done at St. Jude has increased the survival rate of childhood cancers from 20% in 1962 to over 70% currently.
Hurricane Ike ravaged areas of Texas and Louisiana leaving 4 million without power. During and after the storm the Red Cross has provided shelter for as many as 20,000 people who evacuated and continue to be displaced as a result of flooding. The Red Cross has already served over 1 million meals to victims throughout its shelters in Texas and Louisiana.
On behalf of our customer DHL and partner CIS Corporate, with offices in Houston, Santorini made a donation to the Red Cross Houston Disaster Relief. These funds will be used to bring food, water, and cleaning supplies into communities impacted by Hurricane Ike.
The American Heart Association is an advocacy group dedicated to reducing the incidence of cardiovascular disease and stroke --The number 1 and number 3 cause of death in the United States. The AHA hopes to reduce cardiovascular and stroke related deaths 25% by the year 2010 though the use of lifestyle programs, education, and research.
The Alzheimer's Association has been creating awareness and making advancements in Alzheimer research since 1982. Through their efforts and programs millions of dollars have been raised and they have been the catalyst and leader in Alzheimer research and care. The organization’s achievements and progress in the field have given thousands of people a better quality of life and brought hope for millions more.
Avon Foundation Breast Cancer Crusade has raised and distributed over $450 million worldwide since 1992 to advance breast cancer research, including access to care, diagnostics and screening, support services, and awareness and education programs.(3)

On May 12th, 2008 - A 8.0 magnitude earthquake struck China's Sichuan Province, countless lives have been lost or missing. The Chinese government estimates that at least 436,000 homes have been destroyed and reports that nearly five million people are homeless.
In sharing in our commitment to give back to our communities, Santorini made a donation to the Red Cross Disaster Relief. These funds will be used to provide immediate relief including the purchase and distribution of relief supplies, coordination of logistics and transportation of disaster workers to the hardest hit areas.

Since its founding in 1976 by Millard and Linda Fuller, Habitat for Humanity International has built and rehabilitated more than 250,000 houses with families in need, becoming a true world leader in addressing the issues of poverty housing.(1)
Habitat for Humanity has shown that building homes does more than put a roof over someone's head. In clean, decent, stable housing:(2)
