Is Your Laptop Overheating? - 12 Tips To Prevent Overheating
Is my laptop overheating? I'm sure anyone with a laptop has asked this question at one time or another. You know the scenario, your computer begins to run slow, it crashes a lot, it is hot to the touch, the startup time is slower, etc.
There are lots of reasons why you think your laptop may be overheating and because it is a common problem, I decided to write an article on some of the causes of heating and what you can do to prevent it.

11. If you travel a lot, then make sure you turn off your phone before putting it in your bag. Although it is easier to pull your laptop in the bag, open the screen and start working, the environment inside the case may be too hot for your computer and can quickly damage the hardware and screen.
12. Once your battery is fully charged unplug the charger. A people often make the mistake of leaving their computer is plugged in at all times. By this constant source of electricity the heat of your battery and turn to overheat your laptop. Never load your computer as long as necessary.
If you find your computer is running a little warmer than usual, then turn off and cool. If you find that it has not helped the situation a lot and knows your laptop screen freezes, shut down suddenly, sluggish performance and the extra heat, so it may be a sign that your computer is overheating it.

How do I connect my Xbox to the internet through my laptop?
I have DSL, I have a wireless router plugged into the modem, I have one computer connected directly to the router and a laptop connected wirelessly. I want to hook up my Xbox to my laptop to connect to Xbox Live but when I enable internet connection sharing on the laptop it tells me that the default address used for internet connection sharing is already in use, even though both the computer and the laptop are configured to use ip address' above 192.168.0.102 so as to not block the default ICS port (192.168.0.101).
What can I do to fix this?
This is a bad idea. Your latency going through the laptop will be horrible, especially over wireless. Run a connection to the XBOX port, or drop the bucks on a wireless card for it.
That internet connection sharing rarely works right for multiple regular PCs - and really isn't good for anything.
If you insist on trying it - you need to assign a new subnet. If your router is using 192.168.0.1 and your laptop is also trying to use this and assign IPs in the same range - then it's going to conflict. I would change the throughput range on the laptop to 10.10.10.1 - 10.10.10.254. You should be able to get that to work.
More or less what you're doing is telling the laptop to share it's wireless internet connection with the ethernet jack on the laptop - which you would then plug into the xbox with a crossover cable. A straight through cable (normal ethernet) probably isn't going to work. You could also plug them into a hub together.
Again - this isn't the best way to do things - and I think you'll be dissatisfied with the results, in addition to tying up your laptop.
