Handheld xDSL Tester with PC Emulation

Toronto, Canada – GAO Comm (www.GAOComm.com) has released this innovative handheld ADSL/XDSL tester which emulates a PC to test broadband IP lines or initiates PPPoE dial-up to test IP networks connection and troubleshoot modem or PC problems. It tests Web page speed and helps technicians judge whether a line is suitable for xDSL services. The tester is an ideal solution for the installation and maintenance of ADSL, ADSL2, ADSL2+, and READSL services.

This handheld ADSL/XDSL tester, model 330, measures xDSL physical layer parameters including loop resistance, capacitance, insulation resistance and voltage. It also performs xDSL tests, LAN tests, DMM tests and handles file management. Test results including Ping, IP Config, Route, and Tracert are displayed on its TFT true color LCD screen after a successful dial. The tester has a maximum attenuation distance of 6.5km. It offers a large memory capacity to save ADSL test records and other data which is transferable through a USB port. Additionally, its embedded software can be upgraded to the latest version through the use of a memory stick or via LAN.

Port wont forward for Utorrent!! followed www.portforward.com's guide My router is WRG614v7?

For Months ive been trying to forward a port to utorrent. My router is WRG614v7

Ive probably done it about 10 times but still fail.

The guide on portforward.com told me to make a static ip adress, which i have done. It is 192.169.1.137

And then it told me to put in the port that utorrent uses for downloading which is 55641

Then it gave me a series of lines to put into the port forwarding page into my router

Service name: Utor1
Service Type: TCP/UDP
Start port : 55641
End Port :55641
Server IP :192.168.0.137

I put that into my router and it says "ip must be lan ip"
So i thought maybe if i put my lan ip "192.168.1.137" But that doesnt seem to have worked.
When i tested it in the utorrent tester it said "Forwarding port 55641 on 124.176.145.46... ERROR, port doesnt seem to forward
Its in my firewall exceptions list.

Help!!

what you need to place on Server IP is your computer's IP address. the IP of the computer that will be using the utorrent client. i'm not quite familiar with utorrent but with bitcomet, you need to setup the port that the torrent client should be listening to.

this is located under "Connection" -> Listen Port ...change this to 55641 although i presume this should be the default in utorrent.

if this still doesn't work, try upgrading the firmware of your router. Linksys has been known to have errors with torrent. If you're going for torrents all the time, try D-Link instead.

cheers!

I hate my LAN Tester
