The window kits that comes with windowless acs are often for vertical sliding windows. But how would one go about installing a ac when they have a crank out window?

it's kind of ugly, but here is an idea. buy a piece of plywood the size of your window. cut a hole in the for the exaust tube. crank open your window all the way. secure the plywood against the window frame (from the inside). throw away the window kit and just place the exaust tube in the hole you created. The window stays open the whole time. keep the tube in place.

a slightly better looking option (but less secure if you are on the ground floor) is to obtain a sheet of clear plexiglass or thick plastic and replace it for the plywood.
