The fourth step should be to take the cables in sequence and insert them into the RJ45 plug. If the cables are not of equal length at this point it is usually worth making a straight cut across all of them. Use a crimping tool, or the stripping tool if you have one, to apply pressure to the Ethernet cable and connector to make the connection permanent.
