how is bsnl evdo connection?is it suitable for heavy downloaders?

i live in kolkata but i often stay out of town so since bsnl evdo has free roaming all over india plus it gives unlimited plans @ 750 pm thats why i feel the plan suits me .
But how is its speed inside the town and main city??
And how is the server ?? Does it often breakdown??
Is it reliable as data one??
Does this contain any fair usage policy??
Please tell clearly whether do you recommend to go for this wireless broadband??

It's a serious matter so please reply asap with the best answers.
I would be glad if some evdo user gives answer to this question.

Bsnl Wireless EVDO broadband(not only BSNL,other wireless networks also face the following issues)has many disadvantages such as
1)No proper contention ratio(any number of persons can share ur server,ur speed suffers if more persons are there in ur server,Broadband through landline has a contention ratio of 1:25 in Bsnl)
2)Ping is more(since its wireless its bound to have more ping,downloading from torrents with less no. of seeds and online gaming will be hard,webpages also load a bit slowly).
3)Shared ip(one ip will be shared by all of u in ur server,downloading from file sharing sites like Rapidshare,megaupload,fileserve etc., will be difficult so if u get caught with some vigorous downloaders then u can forget downloading from file sharing sites).
4)EVDO tower is not available at every place,if u are traveling then there is a big problem i.e if EVDO tower is not available at ur area then u will get only 18KB/sec of speed max(even if u have EVDO tower in ur area the distance from the tower will also affect ur speed)
5)Spectrum problem(In EVDO the data is transferred through the available spectrum,if more users are using the same tower in which u are in then the speed will suffer)

Better go for cheap 2G plans through mobile for using when traveling and for downloading purposes use a wired broadband(landline).In both 2G and wired broadband BSNL is better than others(I have used both 2G and wired broadband of various other service providers and have felt BSNL is lot better than other networks and their service has also improved greatly esp. in cities.)
