How do I clean my dry-erase board eraser?
I recently purchased a dry-erase board and at first the markers would wipe away clean, no it takes 3-5 strokes to remove the ink. Should I clean my board? My eraser? How do I do so?
The board needs periodic cleaning with either nail polish remover or the special spray you can buy for it. Keep going over it with a clean piece of toweling until you don't get any residue on the toweling. The older the board gets the more often it will need cleaning. With either product be very careful. Spray your toweling and not the board. The cleaner is strong enough to remove paint from the wall.
I simply wash my eraser with dish soap and water whenever it seems dusty. I rub the soap into it and then run it under water until it's soap-free. I wouldn't recommend soaking it in water as the glue may loosen.
You can purchase the Dry Erase cleaner at any office supply store. One bottle should last a lifetime.
