Memorising the Calendar Have you ever faced a situation when you are out somewhere and feel the need to recall what day it would be on 22Sep 2010. You will at once search for a nearest calendar of 2010 hung somewhere or open your mobile or ask someone for help. What if all the options are not available to you and its an emergency to find out . You will definitely feel uncomfortable. Well today I'll help you out for if you understand this and practice it 3 to 4 times you will realise that what I read in this article was certainly helpful to you for the rest of your life. You only have to make effort for 5 minutes and proceed as follows:- Pick up a calendar of this year,2010 and mark the first Sundays of every month from Jan to Dec with a circle on the calendar. There will be 12 such markings one for each month. Next write these dates of Jan to Dec in a serial order. You will have 12 such dates encircled on your calendar which you have marked yourself just now. For the year 2010 it will be 377 426 415 375. (Note that all these numbers show the dates of first Sundays of all the months in serial order. 3rd Jan is Sunday, 7thFeb is Sunday, 7thMar is Sunday, 4thApr is Sunday, 2nd May is Sunday and so on till 5th Dec is Sunday) Now your calendar is ready for this year. Yes the most important part now. How to use it? Supposing you want to know what day it will be on 22 Sep2010. The month of Sep is 9th as you know so go to 9th number from the left of your above 12 digit number which you had just made and see what it is. It is 5 in this case. It thus means that 5th Sep is Sunday and so are 12th and 19th of Sep ( as by adding 7 to 5 and and then 7 to 12 you arrive at 19). By now you know that 19 Sep is Sunday . Now you can count on your finger tips what will be on 22nd of Sep since 20th will be Monday ,21st will be Tuesday and 22nd will thus be Wednesday and that's it. You can make calendar for any year like this. Easy isn't it? Only one time effort you have to make is of registering the 12 digit number once for all. In mnemonics it is said that if you register first time properly it will be imbibed in your mind forever. If you can remember the mobile number of your girlfriend you can definitely remember this also easily and its worth remembering since you will not need to carry any calendar for the rest of the year. So make use of it and also amaze your friends.

What is a good gift for my first christmas with my wife (I'm a newleywed from May)?
Her Birthday is DEC 1 (AT which point I'm getting her a digital camera and something to throw her off the scent on a digital camera).
