SIM card switch. Curve 8320 to 1st Gen iPhone?
ok . i currently have a smartphone plan with rogers for my bb curve 8320. i cracked the screen and the trackball doesn't work so my buddy gave me his old first gen iphone for 40 bucks. good deal right? Anyways, i was wondering if i can pop in my SIM from my bb into an unlocked first gen iphone, and if so how well will it work? Thanks.
the iPhone wont work. at least if you just pop in the sim card. you would need to jailbreak it which you can do for free at http://download.ziphone.org/ dont worry its 100% safe wont harm the iphone unless you disconnect the iphone while its getting jailbroken...then you would need to restore the iphone and restart the process. then after youve jailbroken it, you can put ur sim card and use it :] the only down part is that you may just be limited to phone and text. you could still use the web and stuff but you would only be able to use it under wifi.
