Mac. Or P.C. / Laptop or Desktop?
Hi, I need a P.C. (or Mac.) and I'm not sure where to go. I currently use a rather aging underpowered P.C. laptop. I am really tempted to go for a macbook pro or imac however. But then again, a P.C. would be far more compatible with everything. I really don't have a clue which to go for.
I need it for/to be:
Lightweight/Compact (Whether it be a desktop ot laptop - I don't have much space)
Powerful enough for HD video editing
Aesthetically quite appealing (I like things to look nice)
Money isn't really an issue - I'd say about a thousand pounds, give or take.
I'm also considering getting a powerful desktop and perhaps a more portable laptop for taking around uni or whatever. So that's the other option - however in that case money would be more of an issue - I can't have to top spec machines.
So can you guys give me some guidance.

A Windows PC is not more compatible with everything. If you really believe that nonsense, you haven't done your homework at all.
Based on what you say you want to use it for, you should get a new iMac, and a MacBook for the laptop if you really need one.
