Chassis fan into Mother Board or PSU?
I built a PC recently, and i was wondering if it was recommended to install them in the motherboard or with the power supply. My other computer i built had the 4-pin that was connected to the power supply, but this time, the fans were 3-pin. Would it be recommended to buy a 3pin to 4pin adapter and power them through the psu, or is it fin the way it is, powered through the motherboard?
It doesn't matter where you place them. The motherboard is better because the computer can keep track of the RPM and if the fan is working or not. Also There is already dedicated power going there so it don't matter either way 
The three pin fans are designed to be plugged into the motherboard. There should be a plug on the right hand bottom corner area and one on the left hand side middleish... They are there so you can have a fan on the front of the tower and one in the back to get better airflow over the heat-sinks!
