Types of cables in STAR Topology

Almost all computer networks are now using LAN topology with STAR topology type. because the star topology has the ease of maintenance and repair networks in the event of problems on the network.
The star topology there are two types of cable that can be used. cable is basically used both use UTP or STP cable. but the division here is based on the number eight wire arrangement found on cable UTP / STP.
eight cables have eight different colors, there are:

  1. white-orange
  2. orange
  3. white-green
  4. green
  5. white-blue
  6. blue
  7. White-brown
  8. Brown

two types of cable that I mentioned above is the Cross-overs and Straight-over. to the concept of wiring as well there are two types, namely T568A and T568B.

T568A arrangement

  1. white-orange
  2. orange
  3. white-green
  4. blue
  5. white-blue
  6. green
  7. White-brown
  8. Brown

T568B arrangement:

  1. white-green
  2. green
  3. white-orange
  4. blue
  5. white-blue
  6. orange
  7. White-brown
  8. Brown

To make STRAIGHT-OVER cable, I recommend to use the T568A arrangement at both ends of the cable. CROSS-OVER while for cable, I recommend to use the Type T568A on one end of the cable. and one end of the cord longer use T568B arrangement.
although there are different opinions with me, but I used to use way of wiring above to build a network.
differences in the use of straight-over cable and CROSS-OVER cable is as below:

check the cable using a cable tester is as below:
insert both ends of the cable to the cable tester

if Straight-over then indicator lights on the left and right will light up simultaneously with the position
1:1
2:2
3:3
4:4
5:5
6:6
7:7
8:8
And if the cross-over then indicator lights on the left and right will light up simultaneously with the position
1:3
2:6
3:1
4:4
5:5
6:2
7:7
8:8

if when the cable is tested by using a cable tester similar to the above arrangement, the cable will be run well. and vice versa if the indicator lights when tested and there is not lit, then you should cut the end of the cable is not good. because if the cable is used, there will be a problem on a computer that connected with cables that are less good.
