which wifi extender is better? cantenna or biquad antenna?
i have a extra dish and i have slow internet. i have 2 friends that that live near me with comcast. One is 0.04 mile about 650 meters? and the other one lives 400 meters across a intersection. Some trees are blocking but not alot but there is one huge tree near my corner street which is near the to the intersection. Which one is better and would it work?
Either one will work, depending on the antenna gain. That is the key factor. Style does not make any difference for the same "gain" factor. A cantenna, Yagi, Flat panel, or quad antenna with 12dBi gain each, will all perform the same...
If you do not have line of sight between the two sites, nothing will work. A few trees may be an exception, high gain antennas will punch through that usually...
